Victoria with Salisbury at Enjoy

Taking into consideration Victoria’s interest, skills and abilities, she got a internship at Salisbury at Enjoy greenhouse in St Albert and she also was offered the opportunity to work in retail area to give her a more rounded work experience. Two different task-based schedules were created, one for the greenhouse part and one for the retail. These schedules, were created with visual aids and task descriptions and she had to mark the task when completed, so she could keep track. She also received individualized supported training every time she was introduced to a new task. She attended the Internship with her home support worker but was encouraged to work on the tasks independently. 

Victoria received a t-shirt from Salisbury as part of the work-dress code and a walkie-talkie that she was allow to use to communicate with the different floor supervisors and workmates. Victoria expressed she would like to work at Salisbury full time.
